Steam Mill Lake Bike Route

When riding through the Steam Mill Lake bike route you will notice conifers, aspen, high brush and sagebrush. If you enjoy wildlife this route has much you can see along the way, anywhere from songbirds to big game. Steam Mill is named after the steam-driven logging mill that processed timber in the area during the 1890s. The boiler to this logging mill is still there. This is a difficult biking route that is 6.2 miles one way. It is a steep and rocky trail. There is no safe drinking water along the way so you will want to bring some with you. The trailhead starts at Franklin Base Road (23 miles east of Logan on US 89.
